PHX Sky Train

scope

KM inspectors monitor the construction of the major train project, but also watch various other construction activities at the airport, ranging from a remodel of a restaurant to signage on the runways. The firm also monitors third-party inspections for contract compliance with the City of Phoenix. Finally, KM assists in the coordination of construction work with the operations of the airport to maintain minimal impact to the traveling public.

Results

People at Sky Harbor International Airport will be shuttled from terminal to terminal in air-conditioned comfort. Sky Harbor officials anticipate that PHX Sky Train will also reduce traffic by nearly 20%, removing 20,000 vehicles from surrounding roadways for less gridlock and pollution.
